Twestival Mumbai was awesome!!
We had a complete blast!!! From a 13 year old being our organizer to an extremely talented Hardik being our host, we needed nothing more!! But surprisingly we did have more yet to come; The event was held at the Microsoft Office which was pretty cool!
We entered the MS office and we had Manan(Microsofts biggest fan!) waiting for us there already (This MS freak is before time when its time to visit the MS office.. haha!). We started with some brief introductions. The most amazing thing was Manan’s T-Shirt which had “DOS” printed in the front and “If you can’t change the world, go home” printed behind. Soon joined us Arcopolc and Ankita and we were accompanied by Hardik who had arranged the venue for us(Thanks Hardik!).
The best thing about the Twestival was that no one was staring at each other and we were all enjoying the conversations started by Netra(She is the best topic starter I’ve ever seen!). Then entered 2 beautiful ‘college’ girls, (per Monik) who had a project to take a small interview of the organizer(s). Unfortunately Monik and I had to leave the amazing gossip session for some time and go down for a very small interview. Raul and another dude stepped in one after the other and joined us (Sorry! Don’t remember your name dude.. argh!) We also had Ekalavyab with us who works for an amazing website – Conests2Win.com (Many people must be familiar with this one). Before we started the raffle we had our funny bones tickling and Kunal Sheth entering with Mahafreed.
We continued non stop and there was no one to stop us except that ‘unlucky’ Housie(Raffle) game which was pretty unlucky for many of us out there! haha.. Tweeps were going crazy when they had only one strike offΓΒ out of a total # of 30 call outs! (LOL @ Ekalavyab.. But you did win the full house huh? :P) The housie game was amazing and we had alot of fun.. π
We collected the donations (I don’t know how much! But anyone could donate any amount.. It wasn’t a fixed amount). We still had 15-20 mins to go to end the Twestival officially, guess what?! Rohan dropped in to say ‘Hi’. Hardik had the laptop out and showed us amazing Microsoft Windows Apps like Microsoft Live Writer, MS Gallery etc.ΓΒ I loved both of them and downloaded them as soon as I reached home to check them out (Geeky me, LOL)!
It was time to end it now.. Hardik gave us some “Im a Windows 7 PC” stickers for our Laptops/Computers. The stickers were amazing and I’m gonna stick them on my PC soon! =) Before going back home we clicked some snaps outside Windsors gate since clicking pics inside wasn’t allowed. Our star of the day was Monik, our 13 year old orginizer. π The best thing that happened throughout the Twestival was when Monik asked Hardik if Microsoft had any ‘secrets’ – Haha! I was like.. WTF? From DNA to New York Times! (His pic was published in DNA on the 12th of Feb 09 and he wanted it to feature in the 13th Feb 09 NYT Edition by leaking Microsoft’s ‘secret’ π – LOL!)
I would like to end this article by Thanking Hardik, Netra, Monik and all the people who were present there or helped us organize this wonderful event (How can I forget you, Moksh!). I’ll post the pics later if possible – Till then.. Subscribe to my blog and follow me on Twitter π

@Ankita – Sorry for the typo.. I blogged this late in the night.. Like 4 AM.. argh..
No it was not “If you can’t change the world, go home” .. It was something to do with piracy.. It was in very small letters =)

The line was “Change the world or go home” Nothing to do with piracy but sort of a motivator for the guys at Microsoft. π And yeah good chronology of the events that happened! It’s nice to know that there are people like you & Monik! Great to know you guys. π
