Santrex.net Hosting – They have EVERYTHING!

I mean it! – VPS, VDS, IrC, Shared, Shoutcast, Dedicated, Proxy, TorrentFlux – You just name the type of hosting you want and they have it! This is one of the BEST Hosting I have ever used!

My Ratings:
Signing Up: 9/10 (Had a bit problems with getting their email since I use Yahoo)
Uptime: 10/10 – Never been down.. Not even a second!
Support: 9.5/10 – Fast and Helpful! (Answered my ticket in 1 hour)
Space: 10/10 – 10 GB Space for $3 – Worth the buck man ! πŸ˜‰
Speeds: 10/10 – Speechless! Was getting about 5,000 kb/s with 100 MBPS Shared Line! (I used Rapidleech to test it)
Overall: 9.8/10 (Never the less.. They are a perfect host!) πŸ™‚

It comes with regular cPanel 11 and Fantastico. What I like the most about this host that it allows you to host UNLIMITED domains with 10 GB Space and U/L Bandwidth just for $3!! That was just AMAZING!
I’m hosted with them for almost 6 months now and I will continue, It has been a FANTASTIC experience with Santrex Hosting πŸ™‚

This was an honest review and nothing has been taken in exchange for this ! πŸ™‚

They don’t have many reviews yet, But you can surely trust them after this one! πŸ˜‰

    I’m glad you’ve had a better experience with Santrex than I have. I have been a customer for about 2 months. In that short period of time, The server has been down 8 times. The speeds are average, that much i will give them, but it is definitely not a 10/10. Support is terrible, it takes an average of 7 hours to get a response and on my other seedboxes the response time is ALWAYS less than 2 hours and usually around 30 minutes. Signing up was a pain; I was not sent any account information and when I asked for it I was blamed even though i watched my email for 3 days waiting. By the way, 5,000KB/s is nothing on a 100Mbit line, I average 12.5MB/s up and down (12,500KB/s) on my other seedboxes. They are not a perfect host. Maybe you have been lucky but they need improvement in nearly every area. Bottom Line: There are many other seedbox hosts better than Santrex. They have mediocre speeds, terrible support, and they have unreliable servers. I recommend that you go elsewhere.

    I don’t use Santrex as a SeedBox.
    I use it as a HOST! πŸ™‚

    Its way better than others in Shared Hosting.. Specially the France Servers πŸ˜‰

    Unlimited Bandwidth with 10 GB Space.. What else do you want for $3/MONTH! πŸ™‚

    I have had the same horrible experience right now. I signed up for VPS hosting and got no emails as maybe he is blacklisted , and
    no account details even in my client area its benn alomst 24 hours now and after waiting 12 hours for a reply, I asked for account details
    he said: “skip it, change pasword”. So I changed my client aera password thinking he must have been hacked as the site was down today for a few hours, after I cahnged it I got shut out and now I have snet him 4 more support tickets got the system to send me a password hint, which never came even though it asid it was sent, I now feel like I’ve been ripped off. The guy answers you in a few words and is very vague and now I am giving him 2 hours to repond before I submit a transacrtion dispute for non receipt of Services.

    Hello, I’ve received my details and had no issues with the guys in support they’re really nice and helpful. But I noticed some delays with the mail being received due to YAHOO being g*y. I don’t think that’s their mistake, cmon guys chillout they’re the cheapest around!

    STAY AWAY from http://santrex.net !!! Except if you have a website with no traffic. It s a 2 guys company and they are the worse hosting company you can chose. Support is very long to reply, and they will always told you that is not their job to to this or that and will never come to you with concrete solution. You can be assure of total bla bla bla , 100% stress and if you are lucky 50% uptime!

    I have had Santrex for a month now with their 24$ seedbox, getting speed 9mb/sec upload on regular basis, and only 1 short downtime the whole month.

    I’m upgrading now to a dedicated server, because I think you honestly get what you pay for here with these guys, so what if its a 2 man company if everything works as you wished

    thumbs up for sure

    Also they are resellers of OVH i think, so you are hooked up with all the others, and internally you could get speeds around 50mb/sec
    on gigabit services

    Santrex.net is bad hosting.
    down 70%, without prior notice for each move server ==> down often, ip changes often ==> down often, I used to be the reseller of their currency very bad, my clients leave me, santrex is bad service.

    I am a staff of Santrex and want to clarify a few things.

    First of all, we are not a 2-man show, we have over 7 staff working for Santrex.

    Support is not long, we cannot answer everyone in a few minutes because we are all humans just like you are me. πŸ™‚

    We also have live chat now on santrex.net website which is on almost 24/7.

    All problems you have could be dealt and fixed via support ticket, rather than posting in public, since we cannot identify you if posted in public.

    We always do the best for our customers and do the best to keep rock-solid service.

    This has been one of the worst hosting experiences I have ever dealt with. Not only has my VPS server been down 3-4+ times a month, we have had abuse by other clients making there service horrible. They don’t stand behind their terms and have NO Uptime guarantee. We have been overbilled twice even when we have had a credit on the system. We had to move because of such horrible support. Stay ways from this host.

    I was searching for reviews about Santrex and after reading horrible comments about them I won’t ever use it.. Only thing that attracts me is that they accept Money Bookers, because I have no Pay pal and I hate pay pal because its services limited. I don’t understand how the first guy rated this company 10/9.8!!!

    I’ve also read alot of review that are bad about this firm, but I gave it a go and I don’t regret it.

    It’s quite often when you see bad reviews about every company, nobody is perfect and too good is never good now adays for anyone.

    -DO NOT HOST WITH SCAMTREX, Their prices are cheap because THEY ARE A SCAM !!!!
    -In one month my services has been off-line for at least 7 days .
    -the support is terrible and the staff are not well mannered, they take roughly 48 hours to reply to a ticket whether
    if the ticket is set on low or high, the level indicator doesn’t mean anything to them.
    -Every two days them suspend account [VPS,DS] and no unsuspending without pay moeny .. [Horrible extortion].

    -I would rate Santrex 1 out of 10

    ***TRUST ME*** Do not host with them, they will take your money and not give you the service you purchased.

    It only seems to me that you’re an angry customer because they suspended you, and definitely for an abuse or breakage of terms of use.

    It’s very obvious πŸ™‚

    I am with santrex for a few weeks now, no issues so far and tickets have never took 48hrs to receive a response to it normally takes a few minutes and maxium of 8hrs the last ticket I had with them.

    This is one of the worst offshore hosting. I have a uptime service, when my site is down i can see in the logs, in only 5 days, my website was down 12 hrs. The support is terrible, when i report my website is down they reply this 5 hrs later to the report : “The service is ok from here” :S.
    So, if you dont want lose your money, dont go with them, they are a scam, and dont trust in the guys who say the customer support is good, they have very bad support and the service is terrible.

    If you prefer them because the price, dont be a fool like me, you are wasting your money, because the service dont exist.

    May tell you that i was not making great hopes for santrex as a good host, because of reading contraversary reviews, but decided to go with due to having certain price requirements.

    As you all may check through whois I am a customer of santrex for already two years and I really do not understand why people complain.

    Yes, there are rare problems with uptime, support also may create unwanted wait, but overall everything is more than good, especially considering the price and the freedom of content they are giving.

    This company can be recommended, at least for the US-servers. Good quality and professional support, even being slow.

    How do you recommend their US-servers if with 2 bucks more you can adquire a proffesional hosting and support. I insist, the service is for a blog with a very low traffic, if you want that, even the free hosting are better, and at least they really have a proffesional support.
    They have a manager wich post the customers info only to defend his crazys ideas and lies, thats the most unproffesional thing that I’ve never seen.

    Same old story suspended customers, inpatient customers, aggressive customers, new users, verbal abusive customers and such that’s the only people whom we see reviews by at all places within the same time frames.

    And the most funny part of it all they still operate under our servers, and have not been suspended of yet for the abuse they committed either over the forums or our systems.

    I’m pretty sure “scam” is not the correct word which EVERYBODY uses.

    Definition of scam: a fraudulent business scheme

    I’m afraid that is not a definition of our business in anyway.

    In all the forums this hosting has bad reviews appear a admin or similar trying to discredit the bad reviews with things like Alex Johnson says. Of course many of the people who pay for a hosting in Santrex is there today, but in my case is only because i pay for a month, and although the service is terrible i pay for that and i never got suspende for TOS (Of course im ready for transfer my website).
    The only aggresive and terrible answers and post are from they support staff (not all of them, one guy really help) but the others are awful so bad that is quite funny the posts with fake reviews and the sames admins with the discredit to the customers. I invite you look other forums and see the answer of the staff of santrex to bad reviews and see how they post customers info, aggressive posts and more.

    Ofcourse we have to post our side of the story on each negative/positive thread we see over the internet, and yours is one of them because currently by checking your tickets I found zero issues that are related to us. And in addition to that we didn’t suspend you yet for breaking our terms of use by posting your false reviews over and over again.

    My advise for you is to find another provider, and just stop wasting your time with the same reviews on and on again.

    I inform to the people, about a minutes ago the account that i have with santrex was suspended because i write the true about the service. Be careful, this type of hosting are a scam.
    And Alex Johnson, i have at least 5 tickets in Santrex looking for answers to the constant lose of conection. In all of them the answer is the same stupid answer, “here is ok”, of course is ok, the answer was done 5 hrs after the ticket. I was tired of that answers and tired about the downtimes so i search in google about santrex, then i see how much people was decieved to, and reply that posts and reviews telling my case.

    The logs of my uptime company have a delay of 5 minutes, with that delay my website have a total of 18 hrs and 20 minutes of downtime in 9 days.
    I never broke the TOS, the opinion and review is true, and all people have the right to know about this type of scams.

    Of course know i write the ticket for the refund of the money because the service was suspended without break the TOS, and the only reason was write my opinion.

    BE CAREFUL, dont go with them, dont lose your money and dont support people like this.

    Their support is horrible!

    I’ve been with Santrex now for 3 months on the Standard $6 a month package. However when I signed up everything seemed professional like their site and getting started.
    I paid my money for 6 months then the waiting started.

    I signed up for 6months on the US server also known as volcano by the staff. First problem was paypal – I ordered through paypal and got a receipt. I never got an email from them as their mail servers ARE BLACKLISTED. My account is active and I can access cPanel and the site works but in the billing, my domain status is still Pending? Well I never got my cPanel login till the second day after purchasing it as the staff wouldn’t give me my login details as it would be in the activiation email with the DNS servers.
    First problem. – Didn’t recieve email.
    Second problem. – Couldn’t login till day 2 when someone else replied and I showed them the paypal receipt.
    Third problem. – I setup my site but I needed their DNS servers, asked over support and they said I don’t need any if I bought the domain with them. I didn’t I replied I bought it through go-daddy. Again they said buy it with us and I will get the DNS setup for you. I was like no the service states you tell me the DNS to put into my current domain registar. After a few more days someone else came online the technical help, asked the package I was on… woe is me they couldn’t just check and then told me my DNS servers where NS0.santrex.net and NS5.santrex.net

    Fourth problem – I complained about Fantastico not working.
    Still to this day it doesn’t work.

    Fifth – Complained about backup in cPanel not working
    Sitll to this day it doesn’t work.

    Sixth – Complained about mail not working? I can’t send mail or recieve any to my domain http://www.richardslive.com

    Overall the service is horrible.
    Sure it looks good value for money.
    But trust me all the packages you get the same crap service.

    The site seems to have two people, Nick Book and Robert Holbrook who probably are the same person.

    Also at the moment my site has been down for a week!
    I have been with them three months now and downtown happens at least twice a week and the only response is .. service is fine here sir. I ask 15 different people! With 15 differnet providers! And they cannot access richardslive.com
    At the moment I sent a ticket a week ago asking why the server is down – their reply .. ram upgrade? few hours.
    Then next day I was like huh.. still not up asked again. Few days. 2 The most sir I volunteer.
    Its been ONE WEEK NOW! and I submitted a ticket earlier today and got the response A FEW DAYS!

    Having been a customer for 4 agonising months I wish to share this with you, read from the bottom up:
    2011 February 93.05 % Poor 5 2804 mins
    2011 January 95.28 % Average 4 2106 mins
    2010 December 98.52 % Good 2 660 mins
    2010 November 100.00 % Excellent 0 0 mins

    Who notices a pretty pattern?
    In there terms of service there is this clause “Ensure reliable service to our customers”. This record does not, in any way, constitute a reliable service, but they have covered themselves, scroll down to “Network Performance” number 8.

    But how about this one? “Maintain our reputation as a responsible service provider”. They have not done that, Google around, I can guarantee 80% of the reviews will be poor/diabolical.

    Not only taking into account the amount of time the servers have been down, and they have not being providing my service (paid for), but the money I am also losing as a direct result of their negligence is appalling.

    The servers will go offline not in spurts of 5-10 minutes every now and then, but for DAYS on end (their favourite number appears to be 3).

    I say a class action suite for extreme negligence, loss of business, failing to meet the TOS, providing a poor quality service, etc, should be set-up. I know I’ll join.

    I ordered a server on December 19 and received an email stating 1-72 hours my server would be ready.

    1,2,3,4, days had passed and no server, no emails no update. I sent them a message via their ticket system and received a replay that they would send this along to the relevant department. shortly later i received a replay from the billing department that claimed, my server would be ready the following week. i replied back and was told that would be ready the week of Christmas.

    Christmas came and went, and i ever waited till New Years. Still no server. I sent another message inquiring about my server and was responded with “Sir, it’s Christmas your server is not ready due to hardware and or software availability, Then follow by the agreement that i signed that stated they would do everything to get my services in the 1-72 hours but it’s not guaranteed. I asked them for a refund and to move on but that response when unanswered. On January 6 still no server so opened up a paypal dispute. I sent them another message asking for them to refund me my money so we both could just move on and seeing how it’s been as long as it has, still no server it’s probably best that we do not do any business. i was replied with the reason that you never received you sever was because you opened a dispute with paypal. really? no the reason i have opened up a paypal dispute is due to the face that i have no server.

    fast forward to today, was still waiting on the paypal review of the dispute so decided to log in and see where it stands. well, i was surprised to see that, santrex have taking another month billing funds out of my account and still no server. out $85.50 no server and now no response from santrex. i have also noticed that they canceled my registration with them as i am no longer allowed to access my account. keeps saying my password or username not found.

    this is long winded and know it’s a little incomplete just wanted to share with everyone here not to use santrex ever and they just might be a scam.

    Why you use Santrex? you just read the comments below and you can see they are 1 of the worst hosting, with the worst technical and support service you can find. Hope you get your refund, and i hope no more people use this horrible service, i have the bad luck of paying them for a hosting and like many here said, HORRIBLE.
